The Characters:

-Jat: friend; kind of drunk
-Mat: Jat's kind of bf; little naive
-Amber: friend
-Me: antagonist

Jat: I'm hungry. Let's go get some taquitos.
Amber: Taquitos are gross.
Jat: Fine. (to Mat) shall we go snack at my place them. (wanders off somewhere)
Me: Yeah, how about chocolate strawberries and whip cream
Mat: What?
Me: Chocolate strawberries and whip cream.
Mat: Is that suppose to be some kind of sexual thing?
Me: Yeah.
Mat: How?
Me: Well the theory is that you are suppose to become a sunday and he is to eat you.
Mat: ...oh...okay...
Jat: (comes back) what are you talking about?
Me: chocolate strawberries and whip cream
Jat: What?
Amber: he's your sunday. (points at Mat)
Jat: (looks confused)
Me: Eat him!

YAY! School is over with for the spring! I am relatively confident that I passed all my classes with at least a B.

Today I went with my roommate to a free concert at noon. We missed the concert by an hour, but apparently she knows one of the DJs at the station so we went back with him and hung out in the studio until we decided we were hungry. Random bit of rainy fun.

We are currently packing to move out of the God forsaken apartment building. I will be so happy when I no longer have to be treated like I five year old and have holes punched in my wall by drunkards. Seriously, these people would put anyone off the alcohol. Also, we have picked up another cat. They are confused with each other because they are both calico. The new one has taken to hiding under the bed the old one is sleeping on.

I need to update my icons I believe (as much as I wish winter were still here).

And I guess the big news for the summer is I'm getting married. It is all quite logical. The boy is going into the Air Force so it is a benefit to both of us (yay for socialist institutions). And I am picking up an Art and Art Education major (in hopes of having a job after college). We're both quite happy with it...WE FINALLY GET TO HAVE SEX!!!!!1. And I hate to say it, but it is terribly funny to have the first questions people ask me be if I'm pregnant (ick!) and if I'm quitting school. Like I would ever do either. I am a five year student at the moment because I'm trying to do to much. Anywho, school's fun and babies are icky!

Meh, tired...

Okay, so now I kind of feel like crying over a person I did not know. Heath Ledger died! One of the good actors in Hollywood died! I really, really liked him. I think he was an wonderful actor and looked forward to watching the film's he acted in. And he died! And he was suppose to be The Joker! And that would have been beautiful! But he died! It's really shocking...

So, school started today. I had Geology and Intellectual Heritage II, both of with I believe I will enjoy. My IH professor looks like an angry penguin! I wanted him to squawk so badly. Also, I started off the semester seeing Dr. Cagle walking down the hall looking extremely adorable with too short pants and too small sweater. This mean the semester should be fantastic! (I really hopes he never finds out how badly I stalk him. He's just to perfect of a character that I can't let him go to waste. Shouldn't character development involve stalking?) Anywho, I already have homework.

Hoping for snow!

Next:

I got my hair cut and dyed...orange...(well, part of it). Surprise! I'll post pictures  latter.

We put up a tree over the weekend. Well, a Charlie Brown tree anyway. It is decorated with ribbon because the cat destroyed all the balls for it last year.

Ugh...it's finals week...*back to studying/procrastinating*

Naked Men and Knitting!

Winter
Well, kind of naked. They had the important parts covered and were running about with swords and shields ans spears (oh my!) But, yes, I have finally learned to knit. Kind of. I managed to get my first row made of twenty loops and then three row later had added six more loops without having a clue as to how it happened. Anyway, I learned this at the FMLA (Feminist Group Thingy) knitting circle, which is apparently comprised of the Common Ground's kids (the GSA group). Somehow I don't think they have branched out much from the start of the group and it kind of concerns. I mean it's great that the two groups are working together (considering both have basically the same goals) but I believe that they should expand to incorporate all feminists and not just the gay ones. Although a funny comment came about as the girls were telling a story about how the general consensus is that most feminist are lesbians, at which point all the guys said "uh, we don't like girls." Anywho, learned how to knit and watched (almost) naked men.

This is a rant (more or less) because I get frustrated with Christmas every year and thought I should write about it this time.

Cheers )

On another note, the last day of class is tomorrow and I get to spend a horribly awkward time avoiding my old director for two hours as we finish watching the Senior Projects finals. I've thought of the worst case senario, which involves either me getting hit or her running from the classroom in tears, either way causing a scene. Hopefully, she will just ignore us too.

IT SNOWED THIS WEEKEND! So now the cold is completely justified.

My poor Quentin Jade (er...my car) had a flat tire and now has a spare tire and is lopsided. And I almost couldn't get him out of the garage of the grocery store because I didn't have ten bucks hanging around in some random pocket and went over my free time allotment. I guess it's not feasible to grocery shop for 5 hours. No worries, however, as my lovely friend Jat paid with his plastic (as it was his roommate that had us there for so long). Then we went home and they made hamburgers for all of us and I had a hamburger for the first time in a year or two.

And now it is finals time and I should write some essays. ICK!

4:30. That's what I'm waiting for right now. At 4:30 my contract with the horrid director finally ends!

So...it's been a month

  • Nov. 26th, 2007 at 3:46 PM

So, went home for Thanksgiving. Back for two weeks and a concert (STRAYLIGHT RUN!). Back in time for another concert, Christmas, New Year, whatnot, and trying to convince my director that she does not want to shoot this weekend. But it's almost over and I won't have to deal with it anymore.

Apparently it tried to snow this morning and the clouds just couldn't do it so it stayed cold and rained instead. Way to go, ghetto Philly clouds, way to go. Also, my winter coat has disappeared off the face of the planet. I hope it's get back from vacation soon.

...That is sadly about my life at the moment...

LJ look lovely...

Oh, this weekend was icky. I was running around like a PA. And now we have another weekend we are going to be shooting and I really don't think I'm going to renew my contract with this woman. It is not worth my nerves (which are currently shot). On the other side, however, the actress and actors are a complete joy to work with. They are very fun-loving individuals and make the set seem much more lively.

I'm going to a STRAYLIGHT RUN CONCERT! Only been trying to see them for about three years now. *squee*

I'm looking at my agenda and realizing that I have to many assignments due (including a TERM PAPER that we were just assigned today due before Thanksgiving).

HALLOWEEN WEEK! This is my favorite time of year and it is finally the perfect temperature (I'm sleeping under my comforter again!). Tomorrow I get to dress up for Math class (of all things) and then going to a haunted house and then the big day followed by Dracula's Ball at night. WOOT! And then I might be working at said haunted house over the weekend.

This post feel very bipolar....sad...happy...sad...happy....oh well.

Sleep?
How can producing be so incredibly frustrating and wonderfully fulfilling at the same time?

For this week we lost another DP and sound guys, but gained more money and free lodging. No one is yet under contract, though, and the director's landlord could say no go on the shoot, considering it is his property.

This weekend we also have a crew meeting and rehearsal, which no one told the crew about *headdesk*

I also have a paper due.

And bills.

*headdeskheaddeskheaddesk*

Oh, yes, it is finally a decent temperature outside (LOOKIT! I'M IN LONG SLEEVES!). This has to be my favorite time of year. It's just so beautiful. And to top it all off, this past weekend I made it out to Marietta, PA to spend some quality time at Ani's house stuffing my face and sleeping with the side adventure of going to the PA Ren Fest just to run between the Tartan Terrors show and the Barely Balanced show. There was so much more to this fest that I just did not see because of obsessiveness, but we did go into every leather and sword shop we could find (at one point I picked up a whip and the guy said I could try it out, there all a bunch of kinky individuals *love*).

Now it's just a matter of getting through Mid-Terms this week.

side note: need new (halloween) icons...

This is a rant

WTF?

I am going to kill quite a few people by the end of the day.

1) Kyle
Why? For being a complete arse about fixing the car. If he doesn't want it fixed then I'll fix it and forbid him to touch. That is just how mad I am that he pitched a fit this morning about going to a garage (that we ended up not doing)  instead of me, who has a schedule to follow called classes and can't miss any more of them for the fear of getting an F. Makes sense, right, for the one who has classes online to go rather than the one who has classes on a physical campus. I honestly don't want to see his face for a while. His excuse was that he was already stressed enough, you know, like every other college student in the world. jier%^#%^) goejg%Y!!!!!!!!

2) Director
Why? Because she neglected to mention that senior projects has an entire room devoted to resources for pre and post production. I spent five hours typing up script breakdowns and the shooting schedule when a program could have done it for me in 5 minutes. Not to mention that we just no got all the contact information for cast and crew 3 weeks before the shoot and we haven't actually met any of them. And the general lack of communication in this project. We're Communications majors. We should have grasped this concept by now.

3) Gary
Why? Because he is the bane of my existence and I keep having to see him even though I don't have his class anymore.

4) Stupid people in general
Why? Because if you can't function as a human being for no reason besides your own stupidity the you deserve it.

yummy

So, ran into Dr. Cagle today (who BTW has absolutly no idea who I am becasue I had him in a class with 200 other students so now I'm just the creepy girl he sees five million times a week) and was doing something idiotic like scratching my face and grinning like a loon. I really, really need sleep.

I'm being serious about the sleep things...been awake for about 36 hours now...had an essay due yesterday...and today...yeah...

Africa is great but Antartica is going to survive because of protective barriers...along with Japan...

I vote it be "Talk Like a Robot Day" and in that case I am fulfilling my duty as a college student.

In the producing world, I am slightly concerned with my directors and fellow producers capabilities in actually shooting footage. The took still pictures yesterday and all of them have to be cropped and color corrected or are in general blurry because someone couldn't figure out how to use the flash correctly. Granted, I rarely use flash, because I think it is horribly obtrusive and ruins the natural lighting that I am probably talking the picture for, but I also have a very steady hand and even then I have to resort to flash. Please someone remind them that they are in film school and have had film classes and know what looks good and what doesn't.
On the much more positive side, we have money...kinda. The directors production company is taking out a loan and then getting reimbursed by grants and sponsors and what not. Not to clear on this financial stuff...that is probably why we have a funding and financing aid on our team.
Shooting starts in October. Anyone what to help?

I got invited to an Underwear Birthday party by my neighbor...okay,no...for one thing. I have to be the pudgiest girl on our floor, for another I have an excessive amount of hair on my tummy and what's left over of the freshman 15, and finally...I don't have any cute underwear...

Next weekend I'm going home with Ms. Ani to help at a flower show and then go to a Harvest Festival. The fest is hosted by the same people who do the Fairy Festival, so it's going to be absolutely wonderful. I really hope they have apple bobbing, hay rides, and pumpkin patches. That would just made my autumn.
